Universal Enamel dial, case no. 150559/112167
Very fine and rare Universal wristwatch, with a cloisonne Enamel dial created by Charles Poluzzi, depicting Ganesha, the Elephant God in the Hindu religion.
Charles Poluzzi was a renowned enameller in the 1950s and had also created enamel dials for Patek Phillippe, Rolex, Omega and Vacheron Constantine. The enamel work on today's enamel watches in the market can never be anywhere near the standard of the 1950s.
This watch comes with an old original leather strap and the 18k gold bracelet belongs to another watch.
