Imperial Dark Red Lacquer Hu

Lacquer craving was re-introduced during the early Qianlong period and was done in the Imperial Workshop.

The Imperial poem on the vase described the "Southern Imperial Garden" and the finely craved scenes depicting one of the rare visits of Xiwangmu visiting sages and emperors in the middle kingdom. The peaches carried by the attendants would refer to" the peaches of immortality" which were grown in Xiwangmu's garden.
Condition of the vase is excellent for its vintage.

The mark at its metal base is written in Manchu and may be translated as 8th Year(1743) of the Qianlong reign of The Great Ching Dynasty.

Condition of the vase is excellent for its vintage.

Height:40cm
